It supports women, families and different generations. This council proposes strategies to solve specific issues in the context of the global program of the indigenous movement. The National Council of Indigenous Women, and the National Coordination of Youth, also belong to the Women, Family and Generation council.
National Council of Indigenous Women: It provides guidance and support to the Women, Family and Generation council and to the ONIC Government Council, in order to include indigenous women’s perspective in different political discussions and issues addressed by the organization.
National coordination of youth (Coordinacion Nacional de Juventudes): One of its functions is to generate strengthening mechanisms for indigenous youth nationwide. Another task is to assure the incorporation of indigenous youth in political organizational issues.
